Zdravo!<\/strong><\/h2>\n

With this phrase you greet each other in my favourite country. Serbia!<\/p>\n

I\u2019m Matthias, a 31 year-young life-lover. I was born in the Dutch-German border region and my friends describe me as a positive and enthusiastic but yet profound person who is always up for a laugh and quite enjoyable to be around.<\/p>\n

After a meaingful trip to Australia<\/a> I moved to the Netherlands to do my Bachelor and Masters in Tourism Destination Management. After that and a few study related stays abroad in Slovenia, Sweden<\/a>, Chiang Mai<\/a>, Bali<\/a>, Sydney and Indonesia I moved to Dublin<\/a> and Munich for my first permanent jobs. After a couple of years in the daily big city 9to5 corporate life, my need for a minimalistic, free and self-determined lifestyle was more and more increasing.<\/p>\n

I sold my car, flat, furniture and everything else I got and started to travel to get to know different people, cultures and ways of life…and to ultimatively end up in a new place I wanna live. With my remote freelance job I eanred money and it was very important for me to travel slowly. Timewise I planned this life chapter\u00a0 to be about one year. In the end it took me almost three years before getting settled again.<\/p>\n

This inspiring journey brought me to the beautiful seven lake city Schwerin in the north-east of Germany close to the Baltic Sea.<\/p>\n

I still love traveling! Especially to Eastern Europa as well as in my new home state Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.<\/p>\n

The most life-changing trip of this long journey was a 2.500km cycle tour from Germany to Romania<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>

On this blog I talk about my personal travel stories from over 834 places in 42 countries I have been so far.
